Wonderful post, Dev! What is the backstory on the photo? I’m assuming it’s film?
Thank you Gary. Appreciate that very much… yes it is film. I almost no longer use my digital camera anymore. I used it for a little bit when we went to Disneyland last year. Although, I might use it a bit more again. It would be hard to make a photo like this with a digital camera. And that I think is the backstory, in fact. I have a plastic (toy) camera. You must have heard of the Holga. It is used by photographers as an experimental/artistic camera… certainly not what most people would consider a family portrait camera (although, why not?) It has very few controls and as such allows you to take “imperfect” photos that are unique. Most of my square shaped, blurry, random photos are taken with the Holga.
